The Government of Punjab is committed to good governance and efficiency in service delivery. No stone is being left unturned to build the capacity of Government offices and officials in this regard. A significant step in building physical and human infrastructure is the provision of information technology in order to facilitate the procedure and processes.
The Information Technology Department is endeavoring, with determined priorities, to achieve the objectives of excellence through the use of digital technology. I hope that this useful initiative of the Provincial Government goes a long way in serving the people of Punjab better.

Information Technology is seen as the key to better quality of life as well as means of providing new set of skills required for economic growth and development of the country.

The District Government under the able and visionary leadership of City District Nazim is striving hard to make significant progress in the field of Information Technology. Plan to work on the following area has been chalked out.

1. To introduce IT in the Government offices.
2. To develop Network Infrastructure.
3. To provide skill for the District work force.
4. To prepare data base for efficient public service.
